My story
From the newsroom to the main stage
I did not set out to be a speaker. I set out to tell stories that mattered, and the microphone simply never left my hand.
I started in radio and television newsrooms, chasing deadlines and learning how to make a message land in thirty seconds or less. That took me into politics as a senior media adviser, into local government as an elected councillor, and into uniform as a communications adviser for the Royal Australian Air Force, where I trained senior leaders to handle the toughest interviews of their careers.
Along the way I noticed the same thing everywhere. Brilliant people, full of insight, going quiet the moment the spotlight found them. Not because they had nothing to say, but because nobody had ever taught them how to say it. So I built the system I wish they had given me, and turned it into a company, a course, and a stage of my own.
